I am into something serious right now and there is mostly one stuff that makes it harder to achieve what I want. I am not going to name exactly what it is, but it's something important to me. This thing haunted me and I was spending so much of my time on that particular thing. Every time I get free, that thought comes up and I start thinking about it. But, interesting thing to note is that I never got most of my answer to it while I was actually doing something like say: looking at other's people on how they managed to do it, rather I got the answer while I was in the shower, I got it today when I was still lying in bed.
And honestly, those solutions were very creative and better than what I had with me. I dug into it further and found that it is actually a phenomenon. We get good ideas while we are doing mundane tasks and that is because we do not have to focus too much while doing those daily chores. When you obsess over a thought too much, your subconscious mind, which knows no limits and is creative powerhouse, starts to think about it even when you're asleep or doing other tasks. And when it gets the idea, it sends you just that and you get your Eureka! moment. This mostly happens while doing boring everyday stuffs.
Lesson: take one problem, obsess over thinking how to solve that problem ( so much so that eat while thinking about it, sleep while doing so ), execute.
Execution is important, depending upon the problem execution is different. In my case, I wrote it down right away as I might forget that later on.
